Fieldress refuses to be boxed in. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes psychedelic indie pop—sometimes jazz? The Oakland-based project shapeshifts between genres, crafting dynamic, melancholic songs woven with haunting harmonies.

Founded in 2018 by Sasha Reynolds and Zach Farhney, Fieldress began as a two-piece, with both musicians intertwining delicate yet expressive guitar lines to create rich, textured soundscapes. Over time, the project evolved into a full-band exploration of sound, now featuring Sasha Reynolds (lead vocals, guitar), Omi Golucino (bass), Marissa Deitz (cello, vocals), Phil Di Leo (guitar, vocals), and Francisco Camacho (drums).
At the heart of Fieldress is Sasha Reynolds—a devoted creator. Her artistry extends beyond music, shaping every aspect of the project with an unmistakable personal touch. That craftsmanship is especially present in the upcoming self-released vinyl edition of It’s a Lot, a testament to the band’s hands-on approach to their art.

On June 27th, 2025, Fieldress releases their debut full-band album, It’s a Lot. To mark the occasion, they’re pressing it to vinyl for the first time—bringing fans into the process through a Kickstarter campaign to help make it happen.

Fieldress Releases New Single “Wake Us Up” on April 4 Ahead of Debut Album It’s a Lot

Oakland-based indie band Fieldress will release their new single, “Wake Us Up,” on April 4, offering a glimpse into their highly anticipated debut album, It’s a Lot, set to arrive on June 27.

Written by Sasha Reynolds in 2015 while sitting on her bed in a tiny Berkeley studio, “Wake Us Up” drifts through themes of longing, uncertainty, and the delicate push and pull of connection.

“Crazy to think this song was written a decade ago and still holds the same power for me when we perform it live. Wake Us Up has gone through many iterations and we’re excited to share this version with everyone.” – Sasha Reynolds

Since then, Fieldress has shaped the song into a stirring blend of dreamy melodies and crashing vocal waves, embodying the band’s signature sound—a mix of indie rock, jazz-infused rhythms, and atmospheric textures. The song features melodic arpeggiated vibraphones, layered cellos, and lush vocal harmonies with influences ranging from St. Vincent to Adrienne Lenker. Fieldress creates music that is both intimate and expansive, refusing to be confined to a single genre.

What began as a duo has since evolved into a full band, with Sasha Reynolds (lead vocals, guitar), Omi Golucino (bass), Marissa Deitz (cello, vocals), Phil Di Leo (guitar, vocals), and Francisco Camacho (drums) exploring new sonic landscapes together. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes psychedelic, and sometimes unexpectedly jazz-infused, Fieldress continues to craft dynamic, melancholic songs with haunting melodies.

Fieldress will release It’s a Lot independently on vinyl and across all major streaming platforms. “Wake Us Up” arrives April 4th, giving listeners another taste of what’s to come from this genre-blurring five-piece.

Listen to “Wake Us Up” this Friday and follow Fieldress for more updates.
